Supernatural 7×22: THERE WILL BE BLOOD

[Supernatural Season 7 online streaming links below]

Okay so now that the Leviathans have Kevin and his mother in custody, Dick Roman is busy making television appearances, talking about the new SUCROCORP investment of his – the company that manufacturers high fructose corn syrup. Kevin has to sit and translate the tablet for Dick because they threaten to kill his mother otherwise. Sam and Dean are still trying to make sense of the text. Dean says they should just go in and get it over with but Sam says it would be better if they were a little more careful, and had a better idea about what was to happen with other Leviathans even if they did end up killing Dick.

Bobby watches Sam and Dean bickering from the other side of the veil and decides to offer his two cents. He appears in front of Dean and tells him that he thinks they need Crowley’s blood and the blood of an Alpha to complete the spell. Problem is there are no alphas since they lined the alphas up for Crowley earlier and Cass ‘utilized’ them all. Bobby asks to talk to Cass and get help but Dean reminds him that Castiel is in no form to help them out. Hearing this, Bobby goes all vengeful spirit for a moment again. Dean notices it but doesn’t say anything to Bobby. As it so happens, Bobby also has a spell that can summon Crowley.

Crowley is summoned and Sam and Dean ask the demon for a vial of his blood. Surprisingly he is quite acquiescent and consents to supplying the blood but says he isn’t going to give it to them just yet, because he cannot have them carry the vial around in fear of someone getting their hands on it and putting a spell on him. He says he will be the last one to give blood, once they have all the remaining vials lined up. Sam tells him to be ready. Crowley also helps them with another thing: He says he knows where the Vampire Alpha is located. He gives them the address before he leaves and tells them that the vampire moves around a lot but for now he is located at the address. Sam and Dean decide to go in search of the Alpha.

When they stop to get gas at a fill-up joint and go inside the store to get eatables, Sam talks about Bobby going all vengeful and he is mid-discussion when Dean notices that the people eating various foods inside the store look drugged. Sam concludes that the problem is in the Corn Syrup. Since every food that Dean happens to love has some amount of high fructose corn syrup, Sam says they need different kind of food – produce that will not be laced with Leviathan ‘pesticide’. This of course means they have to stick to vegetables and fruits which makes Dean very unhappy as he comments that he might go into ‘toxic shock’ if he doesn’t get his ‘warrior food’. At the address Crowley has given, they find a girl, abducted years ago by the vampires, and kept in a secret chamber in the house.

They also find vampires dead in the house, as if they have been poisoned somehow. From what the girl tells them and from what they glean from circumstantial evidence, Sam and Dean realize this must have happened from vampires feeding on humans infected with the high fructose corn syrup – which means Leviathan pesticide can kill vampires too. The girl directs them to another address, what the Alpha calls his ‘retreat’. Sam and Dean are on the way to get there, leaving Bobby behind just in case he turns vengeful after seeing all the action. When buying stuff from a store, they remember that this time they don’t have to go to a morgue to get dead man’s blood but the blood of someone poisoned with Leviathan pesticide would work as well.

So they find a drugged fellow outside a convenience store and talk him into giving a syringe full of blood. The man is so out of it he barely winces when Sam takes a syringe and starts taking the sample. At the Alphas place, there are some new complications. Now that only one more episode remains, things are heated up and looking good. I doubt the finale is going to be as good as the previous seasons but nonetheless, its going to be interesting. I am sure Crowley is going to make a mess of the situation somehow though :P Oh and yeah, Cass is going to be a major part of the finale Leviathan-killing adventure as well.

Hottest Men on TV

Jared Padalecki

On my sexiest men list at least Padalecki gets to be on top (pun intended). His exotic features have that x-factor thing going on and even though he doesn’t always look ‘pretty’ – who wants a man to look pretty all the time, huh? ;)

What with the longish hair, the height, an exceptionally hot body and the characteristic heavy voice, Padalecki certainly makes one a hell of a desirable combination. If you have seen the latest Jared Padalecki Rio De Janeiro pics you know exactly what I am talking about.

And if you haven’t yet, here’s what you missed!

Stuff to check out: Friday the 13th, Supernatural, Christmas Cottage.

The guy started out as a Dean Forrester on Gilmore Girls in 1999, and later went on to appear in slasher flicks like House of Wax and Friday the 13th. But obviously Supernatural was his claim to fame in the year 2005 in which he plays the role of Sam Winchester. Since Supernatural Season 8 has been officially picked up by CW it is good news that we will surely be seeing more of Sammy next year.

You should also check out the lesser know straight-to-DVD movie Christmas Cottage (with Peter O Toole) in which Padalecki plays the role of Thomas Kinkade, the painter of light. Even though the movie isn’t the usual stuff I like to watch, I found it heartfelt and sincere. And most of all, Padalecki is shown in a completely different light – something you don’t really think he is capable of considering most of his fame comes from the horror genre.

I enjoy watching even the most ridiculous movies of my favorite actors (guilty pleasure) and that is usually a bumpy ride to say the least. But if you don’t want to waste your time, stick to Christmas Cottage and go for Friday the 13th/House of Wax only if you are into run-of-the-mill horror.

Joe Manganiello

Known for playing Alcide Herveaux in Alan Ball’s True Blood, Joe plays a werewolf who is secretly in love with Sookie Stackhouse, who by the way, already has her hands full of the hunkiest looking vampires in the state of Louisiana. Before that Manganiello has also appeared on shows like How I Met Your Mother, One Tree Hill and ER, but TB is by far his best performance yet.

True Blood is coming back for another season in another 34 days so hang in there! I love the fact the Manganiello has that virile look, and unlike the rest of them he leaves his hair be – rocking the whole salt-n-pepper routine. He also made an appearance alongside Ashton Kutcher, playing Alex in Two and a Half Men couple of weeks back.

Stuff to Watch Out For:

True Blood, Two and a Half Men, Til death, White Collar, One Tree Hill, Scrubs and Spider-Man 3.

Charlie Hunnam

I am not going to say he is a version of Brad Pitt because that would just be unfair. Hunnam is a lot more than just a pretty face and I suppose, he does have some very essential qualities. The minute you see him in a leather jacket, riding a Harley with his rugged charm, it will be love at first sight I warn you. If you want to see another side of him, watch Queer as Folk where he plays the role of a fifteen year old boy in love with the playboy who took his virginity. I particularly enjoyed his performance as Nikolas Nikelby which is an adorable film that you can watch over and over again. Hunnam too has that whole bad-ass routine going on about him – no wonder he was the perfect choice for Kurt Sutter’s Sons of Anarchy.

Stuff to check out:

Queer as Folk, Nicolas Nikelby, Sons of Anarchy. Sons of Anarchy is a brilliant show. A fabulous creation of Kurt Sutter, who by the way, is my role model :P . You will fall in love with just about every character. Just sit down for season 1 and let the story develop and you will see what I am talking about. I also enjoyed watching the Brit version of Queer as Folk, and Hunnam’s role is delightfully fresh and attention-grabbing.

Jensen Ackles

Jensen is the quintessential super model face: The lips, the eyes, the high cheekbones, he is the story book depiction of good looks. When they write those Mills and Boons novels with gorgeous men, this is what they are basically describing. His smile melts mountain tops and his tears make kittens die, or so I’ve heard.

He hates his hair, so you never see him with longer hair anymore but you can get a glimpse of how long hair might have looked if you can find some episodes of Days of our Lives or Dark Angel. But of course, Supernatural is what you should be watching if you have any adoration for the guy. He plays Dean Winchester, older brother to Sam Winchester played by Jared Padalecki.

Stuff to Watch Out for:

Supernatural, My Bloody Valentine 3D, Dark Angel, Days of Our Lives. If you are really into the guy you might want to sit for Days of Our Lives, but if you are like me and not that inclined, you might want to catch some episodes of Dark Angel, in which his one-liners are a reminder of the whole Dean Winchester personality type. You can also watch Ten Inch Hero, in which he appeared alongside wife Daneel Harris (Harold & Kumar), as a punk-wannabe with odd hair and piercings who goes through the whole ugly duckling routine. The movie is, well, ahem, stupid, to say the least :P But its so stupid at times it will make you laugh at least for the sheer silliness of it. Warning: Daneel Harris is a phenomenally bad actress.

Jack Davenport

If you have seen the UK version of ‘Coupling’ you will know him right away. But if you have only seen the US version, then I don’t know you until you watch the British version first. Generally I am of the opinion that US versions are better off (Skins, Shameless, Being Human) but when it comes to Coupling, there is no other version that could even come close. It is without a doubt one of the funniest shows on television you have ever seen, and Davenport plays the lead role of Steve.

Stuff to Check Out:

Well FlashForward was a good show, and Davenport plays the character of Lloyd Simco. You end up feeling so sorry for him you don’t even care that he getting it on with Joseph Fiennes wife :P These days you can catch him in SMASH and although he looks very different from what you are used to, the role of Derek Willis is certainly a new beat. By the way, I am really loving Smash. He is also appeared in movies like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Talented Mr. Ripley.

Matthew Cohen

Oh yeah, another topper on my list! :P That puppy dog look is enough to make us swoon but the guy is incredibly talented as well. Even though he hasn’t exactly been in the news recently, apart from a short stint on Supernatural as John Winchester (who is ironically Sam and Dean Winchester’s father :P well, its in the past of course but still its kind of hilarious). Matt also appeared in the television show South of Nowhere.

Stuff to Watch Out for:

Supernatural, South of Nowhere, The OC, 90210

[That's all for now --- will update this list in a couple of days and give you more guys to drool over! ;) Until then you can give me your suggestions as well. ]
